4. Analysis and treatment plan for water seepage of aluminum alloy exterior doors and windows

4.1 Accident characteristics

Water seepage at the corners and around the door and window frames affects the function of use.

4.2 Cause analysis

(1) Rainwater seeps into the room from the door and window frame in the wall connection gap.

(2) The outer window sill is higher than the inner window sill, and the rainwater seeps into the room under the window frame.

(3) Granite stone or face brick wall and exterior stone door and window cover have empty drum phenomenon, and the joint is not dense.

(4) There is no drip line at the top of the window, and the rainwater penetrates into the room along the bottom of the beam through the gap between the door and window frame and the wall.

(5) The infused polyurethane foaming agent is not dense.

(6) Water seepage at the seam of the aluminum alloy outer door and window.

(7) There is no special set of angle glue used in the corners of aluminum alloy outer door and window frames.

4.3 treatment method

(1) Renovate the eagle mouth drip line at the top of the window.

(2) If the outer window sill leaks above the lower frame of the window, it needs to be reworked, so that the outer window sill is 10-20mm below the window frame, and the polyurethane foaming agent is poured into the seam.

The leveling and paving tiles of the window sill are all constructed with polymer waterproof mortar. The interface between the window frame and the wall is sealed with silicone weather resistant glue.

(3) If the gap between the door and window frame and the wall is too large, it should be scraped with cement mortar before installing the door and window frame to keep the gap width at 15-20mm.

(4) If the leakage is serious, remove the wide-wall brick or a piece of granite stone around the outer door and window frame from the outside to remove the original stucco layer.

Mortar and sew material, with polymer mortar for wall shaving and wet veneer or granite.

(5) The pipe joint of aluminum alloy needs to be sealed with silicone weatherproof rubber.

(6) The corners of the outer door and window frame of the aluminum alloy must use a special set of corner glue sets.

4.4 preventive measures

(1) Strengthen management, agree to standards and practices, and strictly follow the requirements of (Fig. 3) to ensure the waterproof quality of the junction between the door and window frame and the wall.

(2) The civil construction unit needs to do the following work:

1 Use the fine hole to leave, the sill beam should be 6% flooded outward, and the outer window sill must be lower than the inner window sill.

2 The base layer should be thoroughly cleaned before the seam is sewn, and the protective film on the side of the wall of the aluminum alloy frame should be removed.

3 The seam should be responsible for the use of special tools, on-site special demonstration.

4 After the polyurethane foaming agent is poured, the resin for the window sill and the paving tile are made of polymer waterproof mortar.

5 It is strictly forbidden to install the aluminum alloy door and window frame first and then the sill beam.

6 According to the installation requirements of aluminum alloy door and window frame, concrete bricks are pre-buried during the construction of the masonry.

(3) The aluminum alloy door and window construction unit needs to do the following work:

1 Must be installed in accordance with the requirements of the standard installation process of doors and windows.

The corners of the 2 door sills must use the group angle process and the special set of angle glue.

3 The material of the sealing strip must be EPDM.

4 The bottom frame must be through and cannot be cut off by the pipe.

5 The bead is set as far as possible indoors, and the size of the window sash window frame is ≥7mm.

6 Before the glass is installed, the corners of the window frame must be sealed with silicone weatherproof rubber.

7 Sliding door frame profiles should be high and low inside to facilitate water retention.

The tube and stiffener of the 8 aluminum alloy doors and windows must extend beyond the bottom of the frame and the top of the frame to be no less than 30mm, and the upper head should be closed.

9 The gap between the bead and the tube is sealed with silicone weather-resistant glue. The screw holes of the load-bearing friction hinge and the limit wind bracing must be filled with silicone weather-resistant glue to reduce the water seepage.

4.5 quality control

Aluminum alloy doors and windows must be inspected for each (樘) fan; the tightness of the plug; the outer side of the hole, the wall within 200m and the window sill must be painted with polymer waterproof mortar.
