The quality of the substrate treatment directly affects the construction effect and decorative effect of the stone texture paint. In actual construction, different treatment plans and construction procedures should be designed according to different substrates. The main steps are as follows:
A: Clean the wall:
If there are loose and bulging areas on the wall, they must be completely removed. Old paint layers that are powdery, peeling, and not water-resistant should be thoroughly scraped off. The old coating should be washed away with high-pressure water. Walls with oil stains and dust layers should be cleaned with alkaline solution, and the putty layer should also be cleaned thoroughly.
B: Wash the wall:
The cleaned wall should be washed with clean water to ensure that there are no oil stains, dust, or impurities on the wall.
C: Wall repair:
Repair the locally damaged areas. The repaired wall (you can choose a special exterior wall putty for stone texture paint) should undergo necessary maintenance.
D: Application of stone texture paint:
To enhance the adhesion of the coating film, the construction on the old wall must apply a primer or anti-alkali primer. After the base layer is completely dry, the application of stone texture paint can proceed.
