1. Analysis of the causes of water seepage in exterior walls and treatment plan
1.1 Wet-applied granite wall
1.1.1 Accident characteristics
Water seepage in the indoor wall with masonry as the main structure affects its functionality.
1.1.2 Cause analysis
(1) The mortar at the junction of concrete components and masonry is not dense.
(2) The voids and construction holes in the masonry were not filled tightly before roughening the exterior wall.
(3) The granite grouting is not full, and the waterproof seal at the top is not tight.
(4) The granite adhesive and jointing agent are ordinary cement mortar, which has no waterproof effect.
(5) The granite material itself, which has not been treated for waterproofing, is permeable, allowing rainwater to seep into the wall from its surface.
1.1.3 Treatment methods
(1) When the amount of water leakage from the exterior wall is large and concentrated, the stone and cement mortar on the exterior wall should be removed cleanly, rinsed and moistened, and then the gaps and holes in the masonry should be filled tightly with cement mortar.
(1:2) Fill tightly. Use polymer waterproof mortar to roughen, controlling the thickness to about 7mm, and compact the joint between the new and old plaster layers. Use polymer waterproof mortar to wet-apply granite.
Use special waterproof jointing mortar for jointing.
(2) The granite stone should be treated with a "stone-specific protective agent" for six-sided sealing.
(3) Remove the cement mortar on the granite cap, use polymer mortar for capping, create a 45-degree angle for drainage, and then apply the Meihui JS waterproof coating three times.
1.1.4 Preventive measures
(1) Before plastering the exterior wall, block all seepage channels on the exterior wall and thoroughly check the mortar joints and holes on the exterior wall.
(2) Remove dust lumps and dust from the wall surface, and moisten with water.
(3) Fill the gaps between the window and door frames and the structural walls.
(4) The roughening of the same wall surface must be completed in one go, without leaving construction seams, and should be tightly and evenly scraped, controlling the thickness to about 7mm.
(5) Use polymer waterproof mortar as an adhesive to wet-apply granite, and use the same mix ratio polymer mortar for the granite cap to create a 45-degree angle for drainage, using special waterproof jointing agent, specific methods detailed (Figure 1).
1.1.5 Quality control
Key control points: sealing of wall holes, polymer mortar mixing ratio, stone hollowing, jointing quality.
1.2 Analysis of the causes of water seepage in water-absorbent surface tiles, sandstone tiles, and handmade clay brick walls and treatment plan
1.2.1 Accident characteristics
Certain areas of the indoor wall with masonry as the main structure have water seepage, affecting functionality.
1.2.2 Cause analysis
In addition to having the same issues as wet-applied granite, the surface of the tiles, sandstone tiles, and handmade clay bricks has a large number of capillary pores and is itself a permeable body.
1.2.3 Treatment methods
In addition to using the same treatment plan as for granite wall seepage, spray a colorless, non-film-forming hydrophobic waterproof material on the surface of the water-absorbent tiles, using an agricultural sprayer to spray or brush 2-3 times.
1.2.4 Preventive measures (same as granite exterior wall plan).
1.2.5 Quality control (same as granite exterior wall plan).
